Welcome to the official Cara Kidwell website. Cara was born in North Carolina and made her first foray in the entertainment industry at 5 years old, when she and her sister auditioned and landed a spot in a back to school commercial for Roses, a regional departmental store chain. She says she's lucky because she knew from a very young age that she wanted to build her life around the entertainment business. She continued her pursuits on stage and graduated from ECU university with a BFA in the professional Meisner Technique,where she was trained  directly by Sanford Meisner's student Don Beihn, before moving to Los Angeles to continue her training. She believes deeply in the process of storytelling both in front of and behind the camera. She has appeared on TV in multiple shows as well as having stepped behind the camera to help produce documentaries, docuseries/reality and narratives for such platforms as Netflix, A&E, Lifetime, and Amazon.  She believes in the service of telling stories to help people make sense of themselves, and each other while finding commonality in the shared experiences of life.  In doing that there is the value of  connections to a larger self and universal truths.  To her : "Acting and producing is about understanding and showing the human condition and how we make meaning of life....and I'm just happy to be a part of it."
